Stephen Norris is Professor of History and faculty affiliate with the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies at Miami University. He is the author of two books on Russian cultural history: A War of Images: Russian Popular Prints, Wartime Culture, and National Identity, 1812-1945 (Northern Illinois UP, 2006) and Blockbuster History in the New Russia: Movies, Memory, and Patriotism (Indiana UP, 2012). He has also co-edited three books, most recently Russia's People of Empire: Life Stories from Eurasia, 1500 to the Present (Indiana 2012).

All Enrolled UK Students are eligible to play for prizes in the Spring Tetris Tournament
Shortly following the documentary screening, The College of Arts & Sciences will be holding a follow up to last Fall’s Tetris Tournament. Come defend your high score,or perhaps become UK’s newly reigning Tetris champion? Prizes will be awarded for the top three contenders. Refreshments will be provided to all participants. This competition is only open to currently enrolled UK students.
FREE, not-for-credit Polish classes will be held weekly for an hour beginning on January 29, 2013 (Tuesdays, 5-6pm, 204 Whitehall Classroom Building). Materials will be provided. No prior knowledge of Polish necessary. It’s not limited to UK students; everybody is welcome.
